Gregory John Lowe

With sadness in our hearts we regret to announce the passing of Gregory John William “Sam”, “Jiggs” surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, April 5, 2011. Born in Killarney, Ontario September 20, 1933. Beloved and devoted husband of Norma Antoinette (Diotte). Cherished father of Monica (James) White, Stephen (Lynn) of Ottawa, Maureen (Allan) Budge of Ottawa, Christopher (Denise). Sadly missed by his grandchildren Sarah “Weezie”, Andrew (Brandi), Jonathan, Daniel (Shirley), Greg of Ottawa, Matthew, Kristen of Ottawa and Natasha. Great grandchildren Ariel, Benjamin, Ava Marie and Jocelyn. Predeceased by his parents Jean (McDonald) and Captain Bill Lowe and brother Angus of Killarney. Loved brother of Hugh (Ann), Brother-in-law of Phyllis Filipetti (late Dave) and Gary (Eloise) Diotte. Also loved uncle of many nieces and nephews. Greg will be greatly missed by his “phone” buddies George M., George K. and Cathy B. Greg made many friends over his 45 or more years working for the A.C.R. He touched a lot of people who respected him as a friend and a confidante. Our thanks go out to the staff and volunteers from A.R.C.H. and C.C.A.C. for their endless help and support. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Saturday, April 9, 2011 from 6 – 9 pm and Sunday, April 10, 2011 from 12 noon until time of service in the chapel at 2 pm. Rev.
