Family and Friends are invited to celebrate the life of Chris on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 11:00 am for time of committal by turning left on Pumpkin Point Road to Laird Cemetery.
At this time we like to ask if anyone would want to share their thoughts of Chris feel free to do so.
Following burial a luncheon will be available at Laird Hall for friends to gather in Celebration of our dear friend CHRIS.

WEST, Christina Lois (nee Zelonko) (March 3, 1949 - December 10, 2022) - Passed away at home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Beloved mother of Scarlett Bertelsen (Brian). Proud grandmother of Brett and Rayna Bertelsen. Wife of the late Grant West. Daughter of the late Louis and Mary Zelonko. Dear sister of Steve Zelonko (Janice) of Winnipeg, MB, Janis Ebare (Eddie), Judy Labelle (David) of British Columbia, Leslie Zelonko (Karen). Granddaughter of the late Afon and Mary Lozowsky. Aunt of numerous nieces and nephews. Special aunt of the late Leeland Zelonko. Christina will also be missed by close friend and caregiver, Jean Lidstone and Mike Greene.
Thank you to the friends who came to visit and spread good wishes. You know who you are.
Christina cherished her memories of working with her dad on the farm in Laird. She worked at the Plummer Memorial Hospital as a nurse until getting married. She took on the role of 4H Leader, and taught many of the children in the area the joy of riding and caring for horses. Chris was a talented knitter and knitted numerous items for family and for sale. Chris and her late husband were avid travellers who travelled all over the world.
There will be no funeral service at Christina's request. Cremation has taken place. Burial will be held in the spring of 2023 in Laird Cemetery. A celebration of life will take place at that time. Memorial contributions to Save Our Young Adults (SOYA), The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 25 or the Sault Area Hospital Foundation Cancer Care Fund would be greatly appreciated.
