Catherine Anne Bell

It is with love and sadness that Catherine’s family announces her passing on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at the age of 82. The daughter of the late Edgar and Harris Crowder, Catherine was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie but her favourite place to be was St. Joseph Island.

Catherine was the beloved wife of the late Reg Bell for 42 years. Their children, Jennifer Walsom (Doug) and Ryan will remember their mother for her love, caring, and support throughout their lives. She has left a legacy of three grandsons, Keegan, Nathaniel and Ethan Walsom who will miss her with their whole hearts. Catherine was the sister of Linda Foster (Forrest) and a special aunt to Stephen Foster (Janet Walker) and his children Caleb, Aaron and Dylan and Rebecca Cyr (Shawn) and their children Nevaeh and Hope. She was the sister-in-law of Ann Bell (late Elwood), Pat Taylor (Lee), and Karen Gallivan. She is predeceased by her brothers and sisters-in-law Earl Bell, Laddie Bell (Ione), Eunice Stobie (Richard) and Connie Summers (Larry). Catherine is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East 705-759-2522) on Friday, December 20, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 1:45 pm, service to follow at 2:00 pm, Rev. Glen Eagle officiating. Following the service, friends are invited to join the family for a reception. Interment to take place in the spring at the Maple Grove Cemetery on St. Joseph Island. In lieu of flowers, donations to Maple Grove Cemetery (by cheque only), Alzheimer Society or A.R.C.H. would be greatly appreciated.
