After a long, courageous battle with her health, Mom decided to join Dennis Bass and her beloved partner Bill MacDonald on the other side. Cherished MamaBear of her Chum Jasmin Gaudette. Will be missed by her son-in-law Matt Sullivan. Proudest RoboNana of Kayden-James Gaudette-Sullivan. Predeceased by her parents James and Gerry Gaudette. Sister of Karen and Mikki Gaudette. Greatly missed by best friend Brenda Mitchell and "Ma" Wendy Pritchard, as well as her chosen daughters: Jaime MacLean (Kevyn), Amber Laidley (Stephen), and Christie Packard (John). Carole will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her fur babies.
The last 7 years haven't been kind to Mom. She lived with a strength no one expected in spite of them. Doing the things she loved, with the people who loved her more. Going to the Casino with Matt, Bingo with her daughters, Learning to walk again while Kayden learned how fast he could run. Even before all of that though, Carole lived an active life, working at the Canadian Hotel, meeting friends at the Rosie. She became known to so many. Her funny attitude and kind heart made it easy to know why she meant so much to those that loved her, and why a world without her laugh seems too quiet now.
We know that as soon as you rested, you walked into the arms of the ones who left before you until we meet again.
Jasmin and the family would like to extend many thanks and appreciations to the Paramedic stand for their constant support and respect. Thank you to the Sault Area Hospital ICU for their care and comfort. Our heartfelt appreciation also goes to the Paramed Nurses who came to care for Carole in home, as well as Community Care Access Center for all their support. Without all your help, Mom wouldn't have had the ease and access she did to remain as independent and proud as she could be for as long as she was. Words can not thank you enough for giving her that.
