LUCIANI, Albert "Bert" - Surrounded by the love of his devoted wife of 66 years and family after a life filled with love and laughter on Saturday, December 22, 2018, under a full moon and cold sky. Bert was a life-long resident of Sault Ste. Marie. He is survived by his loving wife Lena (Gervasi) and his devoted children Ricky, Sharon Lukala (Bill), Lee-Ann (Brad McDonald) and Rose-Ann Chomniak (John). Devoted Papa of Derek Lukala (Kristin) and Daniel Lukala (Samantha), Patrick Ramsay (Kristen), David McDonald (Courtney) and Matthew McDonald (Sara), Joelle Callaghan (Denis), Danielle Nadeau (Peter), Chanelle Lamarche (Max). Thrilled "Big Papa" of Dylan Lukala; Baby Bump Lukala; Piper Ramsay; Avery, Olivia, Henley McDonald; Hannah, Aisley, Jack Sammons, Harper McDonald; Bradyn, Cordelia Callaghan; Nolan Taylor and P.J. Lamarche.
Son of the late Rosina and Ricardo Luciani. Much loved brother of the late Anthony (Irma) Luciani, Laura Salvini (late Joe), late Adeline Litalien (late Jean, late Laurent), Mary Dubois (late Clarence), Richard and Irene Luciani.
Brother in law of the late Mary Belsito (late John), late Gino and Dora Gervasi, late Anna and Carmen Belsito, Ronald Huard (late Rose)
Special Uncle of many, many nieces and nephews.
Bert was fortunate to have a career he loved with Hyland Radio & Television. He made countless friends in his capacity as cameraman at CJIC. Bert met numerous personalities both famous and infamous. He loved to share photographs and stories of his experiences.
His children and grandchildren share his passion for skiing and love of the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with the Wart Lake gang (especially nephews Bobby and Ronnie Belsito).
Christmas was a special time for Papa. He was Santa's helper, looking forward to making the holidays magical for so many children.
To our friends and family that made countless visits, phone calls, provided rides, we could not have survived without your support. Thank you.
During the last 10 years, we have met numerous caring healthcare professionals. We are so thankful for the angels among us, especially the caregivers at the F.J. Davey Home where Bert resided for the past two years.

Family and friends are invited to St. Jerome’s Parish on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 11 am until time of the memorial service at 12 noon. Rev. Pat Woods officiating. Inurnment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations to the F.J. Davey Home Activity Fund, F.J. Davey Home Day Away Program or St. Jerome’s Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
