Thomas Doherty

Thomas Earl Doherty passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on January 28, 2016, after a lengthy battle with cancer.  He was a man loved by the world and will be dearly missed. Tom leaves to mourn the love of his life and soulmate Marg Doherty; his oldest brother Patrick Doherty (Corinne Barker); sisters Judith Doherty and Laurie (Lawrence) Demers; sisters-in-law Ellen (Chris) Williams and Betty Imrie; five children, Shaun Doherty, Kyle Doherty (Mikayla Prell) and granddaughter Meadow, Kerri Doherty (Brenden Utke) and grandson Zidane Utke, Tyler Doherty (Devin), Dallas Witbraad (Niels), her step-child Toni; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and so many special friends and family that one could not begin to list! Tom is also remembered by step-children, Shannon Zimmerman (Tyler) grandchildren Camryn and Marcus, Andrew Jack (Aimee Lockhart) granddaughters Brooklyn and Lily, Carlie Rodomsky (Curtis) granddaughter Elise; sister and brother-in-law Inga and Alec Mcdougall; and John and Sylvia Henriksen. Tom was predeceased by his parents Mary and Frank Doherty; brother Cameron; and nephew Trevor Kiefer. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Children's Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan (#1 – 345 Third Avenue S, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1M6) or Ronald McDonald House (1011 University Drive, Saskatoon, SK S7N 0K4). A Celebration of Tom’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 4th, 2016 at the German Cultural Centre. (160 Cartwright Ave).
