Robert Gordon Grant

It is with much sadness that we said our last goodbye to Robert (Bob) Grant on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Luther Special Care Home. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 63 years Loretta, his daughters Patricia (Philip) Jonas, Catherine Grant (Maureen Stranaghan) and daughter in-law Laura Grant. Bob is survived by his four grandchildren : Emma Jonas, Patrick Jonas, Julie (Scott) Williamson and their two children Elle and Hawksley, Lindsay (Ryan) McNabb and their two sons William and Matthew. His siblings Joan Olekson and Kenneth (Doris) Grant and their son Fraser. His brother-in-law Marcel Vey and all his nieces and nephews. Bob was pre-deceased by his son Dale Grant, his mother and father Kenneth and Virginia Grant, his sister Bonnie Wearden, his father and mother-in-law Lawrence and Nathalie Vey and his brother-in-law Nick Olekson. Bob was born in Calgary in 1936. His parents moved to Saskatoon when he was 17 months old. It was in Saskatoon where Bob grew up and where he played many sports (baseball, hockey, golf) and met and married his wife Loretta. His business career took he and his family away from Saskatoon for many years. They returned back to Saskatoon in 1992. Bob and his wife Loretta were always very socially active. Bob always enjoyed a good round of golf, with his buddies. He had a wickedly witty sense of humour that always left people laughing. Bob will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him. Liturgy Of The Word will be held on Thursday, May 5 at 11:00 a.m. at Windsor Chapel (704 Windsor Street) with Fr. Geoffrey Young as Celebrant.
