Richard spent a lot of time in our home!  He was such a peaceful and gracious guest.  I noticed that others have mentioned his sense of humour - such a nice man!! 
We are thankful for his influence.

Marlene and I send our sympathy and appreciation to the "Family" of Richard . We have many positive memories of all of you at Portage and elsewhere. He was a fine friend. We enjoyed his testimony and his enjoyment of his mechanical products. Keep faithful.

Thinking of Richard! His quiet, peaceable life. 
A man who always glowed with a purpose.  His sweet influence will live on. Thankful for all the pillars who have kept true to their vows over the years. May all who are left behind take courage for the future and be assured once again that God keeps His people. 

We are glad for special memories of Richard over many years!   He often prayed that we would have a little bit of the love that was in Jesus’s heart in our hearts!  We know that it was in his heart!
And we are very grateful to everyone who loved & cared for Richard in his declining health these last years!

Richard was so very much appreciated in our home. We loved his example of truth. One could say he was a quiet prince. We will never forget the time that Mom Arch made her choice in his meeting.  That meant so much to all of us and Richard rejoiced in that day too.  One can scarcely take in what is ahead for all of us if we are as true as Richard was.  Special thoughts also go to you, Tommy; you and I used to be penpals when we were young.  I will never forget that.  You had a special brother.

So many memories for so many years.   I first knew Richard in my teens when the Knight family moved to Brandon and settled in a home a block away.   Later we had him in our home many times in Lethbridge.  A humble, steady and Godly man during lifetime and now we are grateful for his Godly influence that is left with us.  He will be missed but glad he lived for this day.

It was a great privilege to our family to be a friend of Richard and to know his deep care.  Each of our children have fond memories of a simple joke or a subtle prank that would be delivered with just the tiny hint of a smile while Richards whole face would be twinkling.  The best joke I ever got to pull on Richard was to secretly staple his neckties and John Deere ball cap to his  prep's cabin wall but little did I know at the same time he was getting me back by hand washing my van so it would be nice and clean for Sunday.  His care and shepherding has been appreciated and left many special memories.

A life well lived. Many good happy memories of Richard. He will be missed but glad he has gone on to his eternal home.

Memories of the special man Richard was go back to Thompson, MB when he was in our home with Alton Mose. His quiet and pleasant influence, his steadiness. He was a living example to all. He has reached the goal.

We have many good memories of visits with Richard. His kind and gentle spirit was always encouraging. He will be sorely missed, but we can rejoice in the place he is now.

There are hardly words to express our feelings now; just many, many memories of a good friend and faithful servant. The loneliness is softened by knowing he’s at rest and in God’s  care,  Rich  never left any doubt that he loved to serve his Master and had great love for the sheep. 
We’ve been privileged to know the Knight family all our lives and our thoughts go to Tom, May & family at this time.

I met Richard in Emo when I was about 12 years old.  I always loved his visits and time spent with him.  We hadn't seen each other in awhile and then he came to visit me after my husband passed in 2010.  He was the same Richard as always, loving, caring, the twinkle in his eye and the appreciation of humour.  I had the pleasure of speaking with him several times in the past month.  He was so grateful for the kindness of those caring for him and the love shown to him by his many friends.  He told me he didn't have one thing to complain about.  And so at peace.  I will miss him. 

Our friend. Our brother. Loved his words and presence at our wedding. No one was happier than Richard. He showed it, we felt it. One mission in Thunder Bay he chose ‘Tell me the story of Jesus’, every meeting! He stayed on course his whole life. We are very thankful for his steadfast and gentle way. We intend to join in Friday morning.

I have always felt greatful for his understanding of a divided
home and in one of their visits he went down stairs to where 
my husband would go when they came for a visit and in 20 minutes the tv was shut off and they both came upstairs and that was the first time the division in our house changed…….
Larry never went to the rec room again when any of the workers came……Larry had a great respect for Richard from then on…..

Richard was a dear friend to me. We shared some special times together in sorrow and joy. He was there for me especially when I was leaving for Vietnam. 
A great inspiration to me to think of where he is today!

Out thoughts go to you all with sympathy in the loss of a special brother. We have very fond memories of having Richard stay with us. He had such a love in his heart for the gospel story, and shared the joy in his heart with us all…

We got to know Richard best in the last few years when he was in care. Many times when we went for lunch I’d ask,  “where would you like to go?” He would only say, “anywhere is fine, I’m just happy to come along”. He was a man without guile, but full of kindness, humour and a gentle loving spirit.

MY MEMORIES OF THE KNIGHT FAMILY, GO MANY YEARS BACK WHEN WE COULD VISIT IN RICHARD'S FAMILY HOME, ALONG WITH LLOYD AND JEAN AND HIS BROTHER TOM.  AND IN LATER YEARS WHEN LLOYD AND JEAN MOVED TO BRANDON.  THEN THE HOME OF TOM AND MAY (MY COUSIN) IN BRANDON, THEN THE SPECIAL TIMES RICHARD AND I HAD TOGETHER IN THE WORK.  NOT LONG, BUT THE TIME IN SOUTHERN MANITOBA WAS VERY SPECIAL.  RICHARD WOULD SAY THAT HIS TIME WITH ME HELPED ME TO LEAVE FOR SCANDINAVIA!!   HE DID ENCOURAGE ME IN MAKING THAT MOVE, AND ENCOURAGED ME EVER SINCE, IN THIS GREAT WORK.  OUR LAST TELEPHONE CALL WAS WHEN HE RETURNED TO HIS APARTMENT, FROM THE HOSPITAL.  HE WAS FULL OF JOY AND HOPE FEELING HE COULD SEE THE GOAL WAS NEAR!  YES, WE HAD MANY GOOD DAYS IN SOUTHERN MANITOBA, MAMPUM, SPRAGUE ETC.  I WILL NEVER FORGET HIS ABUNDANT KINDNESS AND ENCOURAGING FELLOWSHIP IN THE WORK.  AND MANY TELEPHONE CALLS ACROSS THE MILES, FROM SWEDEN.  I FELT A LONELINESS WHEN I HEARD HE WAS TAKEN TO HIS LONG HOME, ETERNITY WITH GOD, JESUS AND ALL THE BELOVED IN CHRIST.  I DO HOPE TO FOLLOW THE SERVICE ON FRIDAY.  RICHARD WOULD MENTION OF THE MANY SPECIAL TIMES AND FRIENDS HE HAD HIS LAST TIMES.  THANKS TO ALL FOR MAKING HIS TIME SO PLEASANT AND ENCOURAGING.

Reading through the messages, the Hymn 397 “Only Remembered by What We Have Done” seems to sum up our thoughts of Richard. He loved the elderly and always had a special thought to share and loved the souls of all.

Very special memories of Richard. His kind and gentle spirit !! A true servant and never forget ful worker!! 

We were privileged to know Richard when he was in our field in NE Calgary.  His Hallmark was  "gentleness". He walked and treaded softly on this earth. 

We met Richard when we met the Truth in Winnipeg & our youngest daughter Emily made her choice thru Richard.   Richard had a great sense of humor & we all shared many a laugh & great fellowship back in Calgary > Have always had a soft spot in my heart for good old Richard , sure hope  we meet again at sun down

I got to know Richard more when we were in Wed. Am fellowship mtgs. His testimony was always appreciated. He will be missed by many but his testimony will live on. He would often say, "I'm not afraid of dying" and now he's gone onto his reward. 

Good afternoon. I have pleasant memories of sharing in Richard’s fellowship during his years in Alberta. Richard was particularly kind to our parents.
My one regret is not having kept in closer touch with Richard since he left Alberta. Others have done better.
Family and friends, fellow workers will miss Richard very much.

I'm So Thankful, that God hears the feelings of one's heart, because  "words" are frail in some experiences!  Richard 's life impacted ours, for many years, with Care, Godly counsel, Love for our souls,  & a motivating spirit of  positivity & Hope for All.  I'm  deeply grateful that his life touched ours  .

We have so many precious memories of Richard and the time he spent in the Thunder Bay field.
His love for the gospel story(Hymn #1-Tell me the story of Jesus)  and the parable of the sower and the seed are immediate memories of his time here. There was always a twinkle in his eye, a love for a prank and a deep concern for each one's soul.

I'm sorry to lose such a dear friend. I can't quite believe he is gone. You will always be in my heart, dear friend. It has been hard the past few years not seeing you, there at convention. I can still see you there greeting those coming in with a warm smile and a hearty handshake. Over the years many memories of you come to mind. You will truly be missed in our hearts. I'm so sorry for those who knew you better than I. 

We have countless treasured memories of Richard. He liked to tease the children. Teasing is a form of love, and we all felt loved. He will be missed and fondly remembered. Our sympathy to the family.

Fondly remembering our dear, kind friend Richard with his great humor and how he accepted everybody into his heart of love just as they were.   It has been a real blessing to have known Richard, especially these last years here in Saskatoon.   We so appreciated his help and encouragement in the fellowship meetings,  and our moments spent with Richard in between.   He became our very close friend and we loved Richard and we know he loved us.   It has been a real privilege to have walked these last miles of the way with Richard.   His love and enthusiasm for serving and pleasing God every day was so contagious and today our own lives are richer for eternity because of this.   We are so grateful that God has granted Richard his greatest wish and has taken him Home.   

How well we remember the times we spent with Richard over the years.  There are many inside jokes and sayings that would only be recognized by Richard or us but provided us with many fond memories and laughs over the years.  As we look at some "older" folks heading home we realize that we are definitely in the line up, getting closer to the front and just hope we can finish as well as those before us.  Stanley Sharpe said "God gave us memories so we can have roses in December."  Always with us, Richard.

You had a very kind brother . We are glad he spent his life to share Jesus with others . It was his joy . 

Greatly loved and appreciated by our family here in Thunder Bay.  Richard was a true brother, and his gentleness and humour in mingling amongst God's people touched our hearts continually.  Our thoughts of care and love go out to his family.  Comforting to know that he has made it safely home.
