A true Mother in Israel. She gave her all.

Sending my sincere condolences. Thinking of all the families. Oh to know more of kindness, compassion and understanding! We will never have another mom. Thankful for what our moms are to us.

My condolences to the Pihrag families in the passing of your loved one.  Nora will be greatly missed by all.  I remember her from our early years, 60 years ago in the Vancouver area.

- Such a comfortable and united base for SO many events in their home.

Our condolences to the Pihrag family.  I remember those days back in 1979 when Lorrie and I spent lots of time in Rody and Nora’s home. 
It became our home away from home, after leaving Vancouver Island. A few years later I went and lived with Rody and Nora, I always remember her caring, gentle way.  Nora loved to laugh and share stories with me. 
She was truly a woman after God’s own heart.

Best wishes to the family. Nora was a quiet person but her example speaks loudly. I remember gatherings at Roddy & Nora’s, she was always so gracious. We feel privileged to have known her.

Thank you for sharing the tribute to your dear Mom with us online.  My memories of Nora are from my very young days when she was a bride living in a little garage with a joyful spirit.  Gracious and kind are the words I have always thought of when she would come into my mind.  Truly, as we heard, a Mother in Israel to many.  Thankful that she was part of our journey.

When we would come to Kegums in Latvia, we always received a warm welcome from Rody and Nora!  We appreciated their sacrifice to make a haven for us as we spent a few days there together before returning to other fields.  Our sympathy to the family as you say goodbye to our dear Nora. We have wonderful memories of your mother (&father). We appreciated their example of living for a saved eternity, their open home and care for the workers in this land and abroad. All who came to their home were treated like family. With thoughts of care and sympathy to all of Nora’s family at this time of separation and loss.

Thoughts are with you all. Nora  was truly one of the promised mothers to us, workers. It was a very special privilege to get to know Rody and Nora when they were in Latvia, giving themselves to and living for the things that concerned the Kingdom. Nora’s motherly, godly care touched many lives. So many precious memories..

It would take pages to tell our story. Fishing, camping, holidays, fellowship to the sweetest. The only time we’d get into a debate was if Rod hadn’t caught a fish he was not willing to leave the lake. Most times he was the first to call “check mate” . 
It was always exciting to discover what treats Nora packed for lunch. Our memory bank is full.

I was saddened to hear of Nora’s passing but know that she has reached the place she lived for at eternities doors. She and Rody lived honest and faithful lives and their examples were an inspiration to many.
My condolences to the families- she was well loved and will be missed greatly.

My sincere sympathy to all of Nora’s family. So many memories. Sunday and Wednesday meetings. Having the apartment in Rody and Nora’s home. Wonderful meals. Spending time with them when Myra was at the School for the Deaf. She will be greatly missed.

I had the privilege of being in Latvia with Jill Affleck during Rody and Nora’s first years there. Dear Nora gave her best in a country and language unknown to her. Her spirit and example spoke loudly. Their home was a haven for the Latvian friends and workers as well as for the workers visiting from Russia and Kazakhstan.

Thinking of all of you at this difficult time as you lay to rest an irreplaceable Mom, Grandmother, sister, aunt, sister in law and friend  who lived her life like a city set on a hill; quietly shining and lighting up this old earth. 
We will all miss that light down here! She made such an impression on our lives.

Nora was such a special lady.  My family had many a great camping trip or fishing trip with Rody, Nora and family.   I feel so lucky to have wonderful memories of Nora  those years.
