It is with great sadness the family announce Martha’s passing at Sherbrooke Center on April 17 after a lengthy illness. She was born on October 8, 1938 on the farm at Leroy, Saskatchewan, to parents Paul and Martha Stolmar. Martha attended the country school, St. Gertrude elementary, then worked on neighboring farms before moving to Regina. She worked there for several years, then resided in Saskatoon. Martha’s last workplace was in the housekeeping department at RUH until her health failed and she could no longer work. She raised two children, Bradley and Charlotte. After their passing she lived in several care homes beginning in 1999. The latest residence was Sherbrooke since 2018. Martha was predeceased by her parents, daughter Charlotte, son Brad, sisters Agnes, Mary and brother Paul. Left to treasure her memory are her sisters, Barbara, Veronica, sister in law Dagny, nieces and nephews. The family are so grateful for the care Martha received at Sherbrooke Center for over 5 years. A big thank you to all staff for being so compassionate and caring! God bless you all! In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Sherbrooke Community Center, 401 Acadia Drive. A private family interment will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery. Arrangements in care of Mourning Glory Funeral Services.
