Marjorie (Marge) Senger

It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mom on November 23, 2021 where she passed away peacefully in her sleep at St. Ann’s Home. Mom was 95 years old. She is survived by her three daughters Maureen (Doug) Reid, Gail (Barry) Shawaga and Patty (Blair) Scheidl; grandchildren Craig (Mel), Chad (Sarah), Curtis (Erin), Janelle (Ryley), Branden, Kayla and nine great-grandchildren (Jorey, Chloe, Madison, Broden, Colson, Bailey, Shelby, Meliah and Daxton).

Surviving are mom’s siblings Eva Senger, Rose Brosinsky, Gilbert (Adeline) Leibel and sister-in-law, Ellen Senger. Mom was predeceased by her husband, Gene (2008), her parents, John and Mary Leibel, and numerous in-laws.

Mom grew up on a farm in the Salvador district in Saskatchewan. She then moved to Saskatoon where she met dad and they were married on June 29, 1949. They settled in Saskatoon and mom worked as a secretary at Bowman Brothers Wholesale for several years until she began raising her family.

Mom was a very kind and loving wife, mother and grandma who always put her family first. In her early years, mom enjoyed old time music, dancing, gardening, bowling and spending time with her family and friends. She spent the last five years at St. Ann’s Home due to her declining health. A special thank you to all the nurses and staff at St. Ann’s for the compassionate care mom received during the final years of her life. We are forever grateful.

We also thank all our family and friends for their acts of kindness, prayers and sympathies during this difficult time.
