Marcel Richard

The family of Marcel Richard is saddened to announce his passing at the age of 81 on Monday, May 20, 2019 in Saskatoon. He will be forever remembered by his three loving daughters and their families: Heather & Rick Garman (Morgan, Eric & Taryn, Nolan & Sara), Lori & Dan Froehlich (Kelsey, Taylar), and Karla & Mike Powell (Maggie). Marcel is also survived by his sisters: Helen Small and Eleanor (Doug) Olver; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, Sharron in 2015 and son, Murray in 1988. Dad will always be thought of as a strong, resilient man that worked tirelessly for his family; rarely ever sitting down to truly relax. He was a generous person, quick to volunteer and lend a hand whenever possible. Dad had numerous hobbies that also kept him busy including: golfing, gardening, crib games/ tournaments and wood working. However, his favourite pastime was cheering on his grandchildren at all of their sporting activities. His family was his pride & joy and he supported us through his work ethic, patience, understanding and sound advice. Dad will be forever cherished for his integrity, quiet confidence, humbleness and unconditional love. A Celebration of Marcel’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 15 at Windsor Chapel (704 Windsor St.) in Saskatoon.
