We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our mom, the heart and soul of our family on Tuesday, March 16th, 2021. She was our rock, she loved her family and friends with all of her heart. Mom was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Paul Anderson, her parents, Mae and Paul Prosko, many dear cousins, aunts and uncles. Mom leaves behind her sister, Marilyn (Wilfred) Parenteau. Children: Rick (Nan), Dave (Jennifer), Mike (Michelle) and Cheryl (Cliff). Grandchildren: Adrienne, Chelsey (Russell) Collins, Taylor, Sydney, Max (Danielle), Sam (Brooke), Matt Rapparlie, Mike (Charlotte) Rapparlie. Great-Grandchildren: Collins, Reagan, Riley, Dahlia Rapparlie and Amelia Rapparlie.
Rather than listing mom's places of employment, she would want us to focus on the amazing people she met and worked with along the way. She cherished those friendships and always put her friends and family before herself. Even during her stay in the hospital she continually apologized to her doctors and nurses for causing them any inconvenience. That was mom, always concerned for others.
Mom loved to spend her time traveling with her sister and children, making amazing memories, causing trouble and always creating lots of laughter. She was always up for anything, even when she wasn't. She attended all of our games, weddings, celebrations, cruises and vacations. How we will miss her.
Thanks mom, for making us the people that we are today. We love you and will miss you every day. We will honour you by following your strength and love of family. We ask that her family and friends keep her memory alive by continuing to share her stories. Besides, you are all included in them.
We will be having a private celebration of mom's life at a later date. We would like to give a special thanks to the doctors and nurses at St. Paul's hospital who took such amazing care of mom. We are so grateful for your kindness and care. Also, thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Cancer Clinic and Palliative Care unit for all of your support.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency or mom's passion, the Saskatoon SPCA. Memories and condolences maybe left for the family at acadiamckaguesfuneralcentre.com Funeral arrangements entrusted to Amanda Williams of Acadia-McKague’s Funeral Centre.
