March 3rd, 1926- September 26th, 2016
Larry passed away peacefully at the Samaritan Place at the age of 90. He is dearly loved and remembered by his wife of 59 years, Lenora, his daughter, Rhonda-Lee (Dennis) and her daughter Miranda (Tyler) and their children, Brooke and Ivy; his son Donald (Lorrie) and their daughters, Amy and Cora (Chad) and their daughter Ellie. He was predeceased by his son Kenneth, and parents, Berton and Amelia and sister Ione. He was born in Swift Current, SK. He served in the Korean War- Princess Patricia Canada Light Infantry as a professional parachute. Following the war he worked as a book keeper for Nutana Machine for 38 years. Following retirement he spent his time writing his memories of the war and publishing many of his stories in books and magazines. They enjoyed their times at their cottage at Pike Lake. Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Samaritan Place for making Larry feel at home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Assoc of Sask. or the Kinsmen Elmwood Lodge in his memory.
