Kirk Dixon

April 29, 1956 - October 8, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kirk Randall Dixon on October 8, 2024, peacefully in his sleep, after a brief illness, at the age of 68. Kirk was born on April 29, 1956, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, to Archie and Shirley Dixon (Rodgers), both of whom predeceased him.

Kirk was a proud graduate of Walter Murray Collegiate and later attended SAIT, where he studied survey technology. He went on to pursue a successful and passionate career as an Engineering Technologist Expert (CIMA+). His dedication to his profession and his expertise were evident throughout his career.

Outside of his work, Kirk had a deep love for music, spanning many genres, and was known for his steadfast commitment to maintaining lifelong friendships. His kind-hearted and respectful nature touched everyone he met.

Kirk is survived by his brother, Brian Dixon (Dona Rae), sister Donna Dixon, both of Saskatoon, and sister Shelley Diederichs (Tom) of Calgary. He will also be dearly missed by his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Child & Youth Friendly Saskatoon, an organization that Kirk supported.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Kirk's memory. His kindness, passion for music, and loyalty to his friends will remain with us always. Arrangements entrusted to Mourning Glory Funeral Services.
