Gordon is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Helen, and her family. Also, his remaining sister, Grace and his brother, Stewart, and several nieces and nephews.
Gordon was born in Amherst, N.S. He came to Saskatchewan as a young man, working as a steelworker for many years. In 1991, Helen and Gordon married, and his lifelong dream of purchasing a farm came true. He enjoyed 20 years farming in the Pike Lake area and was always happiest when working hard and helping others. In his later years, getting together and playing Kaiser with his senior friends always put a smile on his face.
Gordon truly loved life and he always had a story to share. Dancing was a lifelong passion. We were so fortunate to spend our 30th anniversary with friends at Danceland at Manitou Beach, where we had spent many mini summer vacations over the years with family.
Gordon was a good, hard-working man all his life, and was blessed to have many solid friendships. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. As per his wishes there will be no service and his ashes will be spread at a later date.
Special thanks to all those who cared for Gordon during his lengthy illness.
Arrangements entrusted to Aimé Laventure.
