She was married to her first husband at the very young age of 21 and had her first son Peter Labate in 1955.
After some time, she moved to Saskatoon in 1963 where she met her sole mate and love of her life Julius Nagy.
It was love at first sight and after a brief whirl wind of romance they started their family.
In 1966 they had their first son Frank followed by a heart-breaking miscarriage of a little girl. Then in 1969 Daryl was born.
May and Julius had many adventures in their lives such as starting an upholstery business called Julian’s Upholstery in Saskatoon. After many years of running the family business they moved the business to Thunder Bay where it was later sold to an airline company when Julius retired and moved back to Saskatoon.
May took great pride in being a homemaker with her own family and continued that pride with her twin grandchildren, taking care of them from the age of 6 months till they started school at the age of 6.
May loved spending time with family and everything Elvis! Her favourite pass time was crocheting which she shared with everyone, and did we mention Elvis!
May was predeceased by her parents Kathleen and Angus Campbell, Husband Julius, Brother Art, Son Peter Labate and…Elvis.
Left to mourn her loss is son’s Frank, Daryl (Darlene), grand Children Jordan and Hailey, also many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial come and go tea and coffee on Saturday August 27 at RCAF Astra Hall on 2407 Avenue C North Saskatoon at 1:00 p.m. Please come and share a memory or story of May with the family. Arrangements entrusted to Travis Minor.
