Gary Pete Slonski

We are saddened to announce the passing of our loving husband, dad, papa, brother and uncle. He passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 surrounded by his loving family after a 3 year courageous battle with cancer.

Gary grew up on a farm near Meath Park, Saskatchewan. He met the love of his life at 16 and at 18 he moved to Saskatoon where he spent the next remaining years with her until his passing. Gary married Wanda in 1986 and in the following years they started their family, welcoming their 2 daughters. Gary enjoyed spending his time outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening, as well as in his garage building things, working on projects he had and making crafts. Gary worked at Wajax Power Systems for over 25 years where he made some great friendships.

He is survived by his loving wife Wanda, their daughters Amber (Dylan), Bailey (Kyle), their grandchildren Emery, Logan, Ben and his fur baby Peaches. His brothers Larry and Lloyd (Terri), sister-in-law Lorna (Joe) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mothers-in-law Elizabeth (Doug) and Joan.

He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Marie Slonski, his brother Clarence Slonski and father-in-law George Sawatsky.

Gary's Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at Acadia-McKague's Funeral Chapel (915 Acadia Drive, Saskatoon).
