Freda May Smith

January 16, 1927 – December 13, 2016

Freda May Smith passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 in her sleep at Circle Drive Care Home. She was born January 16, 1927 on a farm near Perdue, SK and was the fifth child of Thomas and Marion Hand. She is predeceased by her 7 siblings, her parents, and her husband of 50 years, Everett Smith. Freda is lovingly remembered by her daughter Janalee (Scott) Cowan and their children, Leesha, Terrill and Geordie; her son Greg (Michelle) Smith and their children, Rylan and Tyler. She loved walking, spending time with family, visiting with her friends over coffee, and spending time in her yard tending her flower and vegetable gardens. Freda enjoyed walking and often spent many hours walking the Malls. She was always very proud of her grandchildren and their accomplishments. The Memorial Service for Freda will be held Friday, December 16, 2016 at 2:00PM at Acadia-McKague’s Funeral Centre (915 Acadia Drive). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made the Heart and Stroke Foundation (1738 Quebec Ave #26, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 1V9, Canada).
