Erna Frieda Rath

February 25, 1925 - October 7, 2016

Erna died peacefully on October 7, 2016 at Prairie Spring Care Home. She was predeceased by her siblings Elmira Cook, Emelie Louise Rath, Vera Hack and Bill Rath. She is survived by her sister Evelyn Dawson (Bill), sister-in-law Shirley Rath and the many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews of the Cook, Dawson, Hack and Rath families. Erna's extended family thank the management and staff of Prairie Spring Care Home for their wonderful care of her. From a teaching career beginning in one room schools in Saskatchewan progressing to high schools across Canada and Europe she travelled much and influenced many, always giving more than receiving. We are happy for a full life lived on her terms. We are all better people for having known Erna. A Service of Remembrance and Celebration of Life will be held at Acadia-McKague's Funeral Centre (915 Acadia Drive) on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Acadia-McKague's Funeral Centre, Saskatoon (306-955-1600).
