She was born March 22, 1935 to Allan and Edna Stewart at Esterhazy, SK. After some moves, the family lived at Broadveiw. She came to Saskatoon in 1954 to take a nursing assistant course. She met her husband, Percy, the love of her life. They were married in 1956 for 58 years.
She is survived by one son Barry (Sandra) Johnson, two daughter, Wendy (Warren) Lake and Sandra (Delbert) Shaughnessy, 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, 1 sister Phyillis (Roger) Verrett. Dorothy is predeceased by her husband, Percy, in 2014, her parents, 2 sisters, Mary Johnson and Louella Marsh, 2 brothers, Wallace and David.
Thank you to the staff at RUH and Cedar Garden, home #2, for their kindness and support over the last 2 ½ years. A family burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dorothy’s name to an organization of the donor’s choice.
