David was born August 21, 1948 to Steve and Verna Steciuk in Endeavour, SK. He was raised on the farm near Endeavour and eventually, as a family, moved to Preeceville in 1976.
He married Bev MacDonald on June 3, 1989 and later had one daughter, Mallory.
Starting at an early age, he was no stranger to working. He spent most of his years as a loader operator, beginning in the logging industry with Palagian and Son, and ending in construction with Potzus Construction Ltd., Ungar Construction out of the Yorkton area.
If he wasn’t working in the bush, you’d still probably find him there in his spare time either fishing, hunting or mushroom picking. And, if that wasn’t the case, he was most likely in his garage tinkering on ice fishing augers, making and sharpening knives, or going out for coffee.
David is predeceased by his parents Steve and Verna, his father and mother-in-law Laird and Teena MacDonald, and other close friends and family members.
He is survived by his wife Bev, his daughter Mallory (Jesse) and grandpets Susie Q, Sasha, and Penny; his sister LeeAnne (Lonnie); his sister-in-law Marla Everitt, nephews Derek (Jan), and Bruce (Amanda), and great nieces Ella and Bryn; and numerous friends and family, including his fishing buddy Marshall.
A special thank you going to the Doctors and Staff on floor 4B at St. Paul’s Hospital and Mourning Glory Funeral Home.
A Celebration of David’s Life will be held at a later date.
