Bob passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Hospice of Glengarda, following a courageous battle with cancer. Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife Eileen of over 52 years, his children Shannon (Alistair) Siewert, Michele (Doug) Hildebrandt, Tammy (Luc) Lemay, Debbie (Nevin) Hanning, Glenn (Dianna) Schneider, Gary Schneider and Bob Schneider, as well as 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Bob is also survived by his brothers Bill (Colette), Marty (Clare), Edwin (Lynda), Bert (Marie), Mervin, and Albert (Lori); and brother-in-law Mike MacDonald and sister-in-law Bernie Racette as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Philip and Mary (nee Halter) Schneider; and his sisters Barbara (Louis) Elder, Sr. Anne Schneider, SMS, Irene MacDonald; brother Lambert and sister-in-law Tillie Schneider; mother-in-law Elsie Racette, sisters-in-law Evelyn Halko, Kathleen Stepanek, and brothers-in-law Raymond Racette, Gordon Racette and Lawrence Racette. Bob was an extremely hard worker. His dedication to helping and serving others was beyond measure. Bob had many different jobs before settling at Sears. There he worked in different departments but finding his niche as an appliance service repairman. Upon early retirement, he began his own business called Bob’s Appliance Service. This is where Bob was the happiest. He met and helped many people and ended each service call by making a new friend. Everyone loved Bob. A Visitation for Bob will be held at Mourning Glory Funeral Services (1201 8th Street East Saskatoon) on Monday, May 16, 2022 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Holy Family (123 Nelson Road, Saskatoon) on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. For those unable to attend please visit https://youtu.be/q4XXC6QILco In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob’s memory to the Hospice at Glengarda at (301 Hilliard Street East Saskatoon, SK S7J 0E5).
