Anne passed away peacefully on March 12, 2021. Anne was born in Tugaske on February 14, 1931 to John and Susie. She attended RJC for Grade 12 and then went to work in Saskatoon where she met her future husband and love of her life, Harry. They were married in 1954 and moved to the farm where they would spend the next 50 years. Many people were welcomed to the farm over the years and it was the go to place for many activities. During the summer the pool brought friends, neighbors, grandchildren, nieces and nephews for swimming lessons and sleepovers. It was a hive of activity and mom enjoyed it even more than the kids did. Family was always very important and many large family events and reunions were hosted at the farm for a day of fun and food. Mom had many interests and she approached each with much energy and passion. She had strong artistic talent which she put into pottery for many years. Wildlife of all kinds were interesting, be it a deer or moose in the field, the owl in that pine tree by the garage or finches laying eggs in a birdhouse. Each one of these would spark an excited “look Harry look” as they spent time with the new find. This resulted in collections of well, everything, that were catalogued and put away. Wilson Museum was born out of one of these passions and many days were spent cataloguing and setting up displays of Saskatchewan’s history at the Museum. Anne leaves behind her husband Harry, brother Len, two sons Don (Laura) and Ken, grandchildren Ryan (Sarah), Craig (Stacy), Audrey (Kevin) and Carmelann and great-grandchildren Alae, Shadia, Rashad, Rhonah, Aaliya, Lilly, Finn and Max. Should you desire to respond with a donation please give to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan. A celebration of her life will be planned once the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. Arrangements in care of Aimé Laventure – Mourning Glory Funeral Services (306) 978-5200.
