Allan “Big Al!” David Nadon was born in Calgary on November 16, 1965, to Jeanette Berthiaume and Emile Nadon. The family moved from Calgary to Drumheller in 1970 and began growing roots, building new friends, and starting school. During this time, Allan was involved in Cubs, riding his bike, and began to love building classic model cars, trucks, and semi’s.
In 1979, the Nadon family moved to Saskatoon where Allan started high school at Sion High School and graduated in 1983. His love for model cars grew into buying older vehicles and fixing them up with friends.
Allan knew the importance of hard work and was dedicated to his employer where he worked at the Esso Gas Station on 8th Street in Saskatoon for over 15 years. From there, he continued to work in the customer service sector at retail and grocery stores. Wherever he worked, he was considered a valuable employee and was known for his respect and the kindness he showed to everyone he encountered.
Allan knew the importance of family and always kept his family close by spending quality time with them through having coffee, eating meals together, or playing cards.
Even though Allan had physical impairments, he would never let this slow him down. Whether he was playing sports, working hard at his jobs, or playing cards he would always give 100%.
We can all learn something from Allan David Nadon; compassion, humility, a constant willingness to help others, loyalty, kindness, and most of all, to never give up no matter what your circumstances are.
We love you Allan, you can rest easy now.
A Celebration of Life for Allan will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday April 19, 2024 at Sherbrooke Community Centre (401 Acadia Drive, Saskatoon).
Arrangements entrusted to Derryl Hildebrandt.
