He was an avid football player growing up. He enjoyed motorcycle riding with his friends “The Goonies” and “The 941 Riders” club, and time spent fishing with his family and friends. He was a caring and kind soul to all, he had a passion for helping others regardless of the circumstances, and he volunteered his time and resources to help feed the homeless.
He is preceded in death by great grandparents, Lyla Rogers, Charles Rogers, Douglas Hodge and Mable Hodge, Gertrude and Joseph Mesiano, Leo and Stella Tarka; grandparents, Jimmy Rogers, Dolores and Robert Cantz, and aunt, Sharon Holly.
He is survived by his mother, Shawnna Rogers, of Sarasota; father, Gary Cantz, of Punta Gorda; siblings, Breanna Rogers, of Sarasota, Robert Cantz and Devin Cantz, of Port Charlotte, grandparents, Brenda Nafziger Boles, of Sarasota, and Rod Nafziger, of Port Charlotte; aunts and uncles, Natalie and Tony Letterio, of Sarasota, Doug Nafziger, of Brooklyn, Ohio, Belinda and Marty Blanche, of Punta Gorda, Darlene Burns, of Port Charlotte, Laurie and Steve Cantz, of Arcadia; numerous cousins and many close friends he considered family.
Celebration of Life services will be conducted in the Legacy Chapel at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home and Memorial Park on Saturday, February third and Four O’clock in the afternoon.
