I met Vicki in 2005. She had become a frequent visitor/ patron of the Tommy Bahama store & restaurant on St. Armand's Circle in Sarasota. She initially shared her needs as a shopper and soon many nice acquaintances and friendships formed. Soon, Vicki was included in a small weekly social gathering called "Game Night" which included food, drink, fun, games, conversation and laughter. Her inclusion was well-received and soon the gathering grew from four to twenty-five people. Vicki was always a bright spot in the crowd. Her happiness had recently been elevated, and it showed. She shared stories of her past, her present, her important career, international travels and anything related to her passion - Genealogy. She was an expert genealogist and often helped those who shared that passion. In addition, Vicki had been an avid walker in her neighborhood and developed many nice connections along her route. She always had time to stop and visit - ask what was new with you & share what was new with her.  Vicki had a passion for writing as well and hoped to one day record important highlights of her life on paper. She always spoke highly of all and hoped that her many volumes of genealogy would one day benefit future generations. Rest in peace.  

My name is Jeff and I worked at Fountains of Hope this year. I waited tables in the dining room and had the privilege to serve Vicki about 5 days a week for lunch. She was a very lovely lady and I enjoyed seeing her every day. She was very proud of her service to our country. We will miss her but I have the feeling that God has it all taken care of.
