She was born March 9, 1955 in Juneau, Alaska, the daughter of Rex and Natalie Morgan. Sheila was married and divorced from Lonnie Descant and later married Donald Ogsbury on August 24, 1985. Because of her father being in the Coast Guard, Sheila lived in many cities around the world, and especially loved her final home in Sarasota, which she called “Paradise”.
Sheila was a registered nurse and worked in the Oncology Department at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH before moving to Sarasota, FL. She worked at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in the Oncology and Endoscopy Departments for many years and also with Hospice. She met and made many close friends in the Sarasota nursing community over the years. They all contributed to making her final days special, with care, love and laughter.
Survivors include her son, daughter-in-law and grandson, Dayton, Rachael and Dylan Descant, her mother, Natalie Morgan, brother and sister-in-law, Brad and Vicki Morgan, nieces and nephew, Dana, Jill, Scott and Traci Morgan, a favorite aunt and uncle, Viola and Rich Bruhn, and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don, father, Rex Morgan, and her grandparents.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Tidewell Hospice, Philanthropy Department, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238 would be greatly appreciated.
Memorial service will be held on September 24th 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park - 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34238.
