Sally is survived by her husband of 42 years, Charles Walters Sr.; three daughters, Cindy Grimes, Debbie Walters and Julie Reagan; her son, Charles Walters Jr.; ten grandchildren, Jennifer, Jimmy, Mark Jr., Robby, Sally, Raymond, Aimee, Cameron, Brittney and Samantha and three great grandchildren, Lincoln, Kylee and Bennett.
Sally was an avid golfer and very involved in the Sarasota golfing community. She was a member at Palm Aire Country Club where she served on the Board of Governors from 1999-2001, House Committee. She was a member of Mid-Gulf, where she served on the board as President from 1991-1993. She was a member of Gulf Coast WGA, where she served as President from 1990-1992. Beginning in the mid 1980's Sally was involved with and served on the board of the Greater Sarasota Junior Golf Association, 1990-1992. In 1990, she served on the board together with her son, Charlie Jr. Sally dedicated a tremendous amount of time to all of these organizations.
Other golfing accomplishments include a low of 78, and 3 hole-in-ones. In 1984 she won the Mid Gulf WGA MARIE RAUTERBERG FOUNDERS AWARD, first overall. In 1993, she won the Louise Evans Award, placing second overall. These are two of the highest achievements given in Mid Gulf.
Sally was a loving wife, mother and friend. She leaves a lasting impression of life and happiness with everyone she met.
