Russell J. Weber

Russell J. Weber of Sarasota, FL died on February 8, 2022. He Lived in Sarasota during retirement and could often be heard saying “He loved living in Florida!” He enjoyed the beaches, shopping, his schnauzers and his happy hours! He will be missed!

Russell was born on January 23, 1926, in Madison, WI. He was the son of the late Jake and Rutilla (Endres) Weber of Madison, WI. He graduated from Edgewood high school and attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He moved to Sarasota in 1991, retiring after 20 years as the Northwest Regional Manager for the Richard E. Jacobs Company. He was the original manager of East Towne Mall. Prior to that, he was the Vice President and General Manager of C&P Shopping Center for over 20 years.

He is survived by sons, Mark (Shar) of Wildwood, MO, Keith (Marie) of DeForest, WI; daughters, Kathy Weber of Monona, WI and Sue (Bill) Weber-Hegge of Osprey, FL; five grandchildren, and six great- grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Mary Anderson of Oregon, WI, and Ruth Busch of Middleton, WI.

His dear friends Jim Casey and Jose Zelusitano and many close friends he’s had throughout his life!

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lloyd Weber and Stan Weber, and two sisters, Margaret Blanchar Kammers, and Carol Heitman.

There will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
