Rosemary was born July 15, 1933, in Lincoln, Indiana. After graduating second in her class at Bunker Hill High School, she moved to Oneco, Florida. She began a career at General Telephone in 1960. In 1965, she married George W. Smith, Jr. and they shared 43 years together until his death in 2009.
Rosemary bestowed life and love upon her four children: Roseanna Goodman, of South Carolina; Jim, deceased (Teri), of Michigan; Steven (Debbie) of Bradenton; Richard (Tina) of New Port Richey. She has 11 grandchildren in whom she took great pleasure, and a sister Verna Jo Byrd of Texas.
Rosemary was a long-time member of Faith Baptist Church, serving as a volunteer in the office and as an AWANA Leader for many years. She enjoyed doll collecting, quilting, crocheting, camping, and family trips. Her loving heart and generous spirit graced her family and many friends throughout her life.
Services will be held on Tues. Nov. 24, 2015 at 2 pm at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home, 170 Honore Ave., Sarasota, FL 34232.
