There was even a moment, Dad, that felt as though our family's love was trying to break through the darkness. Your dog, Skippy—who had been my grandfather's loyal companion—seemed to channel my grandmother's spirit. I'll never forget the video where Skippy looked at your wife and, clear as day, it sounded like he was saying, "Get out of my house!" It was as if Grandma herself was speaking through him, standing up for what was right.

But Dad, I can't ignore the pain caused by those who should have respected and honored your wishes. The selfishness, greed, and insensitivity of certain individuals robbed me of not just material possessions but precious time with you. They turned you against me with lies, kept you drugged, and isolated you from the love we shared. They took away my grandparents' house, the possessions meant for me, and even tried to erase me from your life. How they can live with themselves after such cruelty is beyond comprehension.

To Jennifer and Sarah, and those who enabled this injustice: karma has a way of balancing the scales. Your actions were not just hurtful—they were heartless. You may have taken away tangible things, but you can never take away the love and memories I hold dear. Dad knew who I was to him, and that truth will always shine brighter than your lies.

Still, in the midst of such pain, I want to recognize Emily. She took the time to share pictures of you on the funeral memorial page, honoring your memory when others couldn’t be bothered. That small act of care and respect didn’t go unnoticed, and I appreciate her for that.

Dad, I hope you are at peace now, reunited with Skippy and our grandparents. I believe their spirits were always watching over us, even through the darkest times. I will honor your memory by sharing our story, by keeping your love alive, and by standing strong against the wrongs done to us.

Rest in peace, Dad. You will always be this "baby girl’s" hero.

Dad, you were my rock, my hero, and my guiding light. You always called me your baby girl, and I will forever cherish the moments we shared—the laughter, the music, and the love that was uniquely ours. From playing your favorite guitar, Lucille, to riding the ferry to the beach where my grandparents and I spent cherished childhood days, You got me special gifts, the Lionel train set for my birthday one year. amazingly cool marionette puppet on another. You were always coming up with funniest things, like hooking all the garden hoses together so you caould chase my mom and her friend all the way  down the street, spraying them with a never ending stream of water, How you used to lovingly tease me, pretending to be the boogeyman jumping out of my closet. it was scary then but it's hilarious now, as it was all done out of love. I remember the 200 lb pumpkin you carved for Halloween, when I was three years old. It was twice the size of me. I remember you driving me around in the Mustang when I was a baby to get me to go to sleep. There are so many memories that I have of you, I got my sense of humor, my quick wit and my playfulness from you.  Everyone says I got my intelligence from you, and they say I'm pretty darn smart. All of these memories will forever be etched in my heart.

You had a collection of guitars, but Lucille was special. I remember the joy in your eyes when we played together, and how you told me you wanted me to have it. Those moments were pure, unfiltered love, and they remind me of the bond we shared—a bond that no one could ever truly break.
