Bob was born in Queens, NY, to Edward and Barbara Peters, February 10, 1934. He went to Wellington C. Mepham High School and graduated in 1952. He went into the Air Force and served for three years. He served in Iran as a private in the enterprise department. He worked as the FAA Sector Field Manager for 39 years, in SRQ. After retiring he worked at Toyota as mechanics instructor for the diagnostic program for 11 years. He was honored with an award from Toyota for his Commitment and Support to the T-Ten for enhancing the quality of the program.
Bob enjoyed photography, cruising, fishing, bowling, and spending time with his family.
Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carol of Sarasota, FL. Bob leaves behind his sons, Michael (Alisa) Peters of Sarasota, FL; Mark (Tanya) Peters of Sarasota, FL; granddaughters, Kaitlyn Peters of Sarasota, FL; Miranda Biset of Sarasota, FL; Madison Peters of Denver, CO; Tori Glucker of Sarasota, FL; great granddaughters, Violet and Isabelle; Brother, Donald (Lynn) Peters, nieces, Laurie, Suzie.

A memorial service will be held at Robert Toale & Sons Funeral Home, in Sarasota, at 7454 S Tamiami Trail, on September 21, 2024, at 1:30 p.m., with Reverend Chad Tvenstrup officiating of Christ Presbyterian Church. Burial will take place in Sarasota National Cemetery on October 25, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.
