Meadows, Robert R., 95 of Sarasota passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 30, 2015.
He was born on November 25, 1920 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Edward and Hyla Meadows.
Bob was a WWII Navy Veteran, serving 16 years in the reserves. He was a Philadelphia fire fighter retiring after 32 years of service. Bob was a member of the American Legion, Kiwanis and Elks. He attended Trinity United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his children, Gary Meadows (Mary), Barbara Lee Futch (David) and Steven Meadows; step-children, Marjy Lasita (Ron) and Ralph Doty (Pam); 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 5, at 12 Noon, with visitation one hour prior at Palms Robarts Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers please make donations in Bob’s name to Tidwell Hospice or Wounded Warriors. Bob will be deeply missed and forever loved.
