I knew Reid for a very short time.  In that short period of time, I felt like we were buddies. I moved in next door , knowing no one and he was always so welcoming . Quick  to help do anything  and was so kind about it. 

He will be missed very much. His smile and sweet nature was infectious .  He is and will be, missed.

I met Reid about three years ago. He always had a smile and kind word to say to me. I last saw Reid at the Honey Tree in May.. It was the first time I was in that restaurant and Reid made it a point to come and talk to me. He will be missed by many. Rest In Peace, Reid and thank you for all your service to us ❤️

My Grandfather.. There are no words to describe how I feel. But what I do know is how much I love and miss him. He has changed my life, he has inspired me, he has been there for me also in a father figure way, he was my best friend too. We could joke and laugh like no tomorrow. I wish I could hear your laugh again. I wish I can get one of those warm hugs that you always gave. 
I really just want to reminisce a beautiful moment, my nursery. You have came to my house for a full week while I was pregnant with the "Dynamic Duo" (what my grandfather called my twins) and the grind wouldn't stop. Even after I told him, "Grandpa take a break, don't worry, we will get this done" He would say "Soni.. Dont worry about." He went from painting, to building a rack to put the babies stuff on, to bringing new furniture, and such a comfortable rocking chair for me to rock the babies to sleep in. He even changed my light switch to a football. I didn't even have to ask. He did it on his own. Out of love and kindness. I just wish I can replay that whole week. It was fun.. I'd walk in and say "Grandpa do you need a hand?" he'd go, "No! Shut the door, go put your feet up!" He was so funny.. He had a sarcastic way of being funny.. I just miss him. I thank him so much.. I can't wait to tell my children about him, and show them pictures and videos of him playing with them. 
I remember when I was just a kid, maybe 10... He'd bring me Wonton soup and a shirley temple. He would always remind the waitress to not forget the cherry. Then.. he'd give me a 10$ bill when nobody is watching, "don't tell your mother" he says... 
The moments replay over and over in my head, and i've never had a dull moment. My Grandfather never failed me. He would always call me and sing Happy Birthday... He would always say I was America's Next Top Model. It's the small things that made my heart so whole. 
I know he's one of the sweetest Angels in the sky. I can't wait to see you again Grandpa...  

I will miss Reid, he is one of the best of the best! I remember the day I was moving into my house in the neighborhood  and the first person to come over to welcome  us and offer us a hand was Reid. He truly cared for everyone. His family was his life! It was obvious  how much he loved them! I just remember  his smile his love and his heart. I sadly miss him. So sorry for your loss to Flo and the family, he was so proud of all of you. GOD BLESS, I KNOW HE'S AN ANGEL IN HEAVEN!


I remember the first day I met Reid as if it was yesterday. I had just started working at the restaurant I’ve been at for over a year and he had brightened up the difficult day I was having seconds after I had begun talking to him. Each day he would come in for breakfast & would lighten up the room just by coming into it. This feels so surreal no matter how much I try to wrap my head around it. My heart aches for anyone who even ever got the chance to exchange a couple words with him because he had always made an amazing impact on not only myself but everyone around him. Reid will always hold a very special place in my heart and he will continue living through us girls at Honey Tree and everyone else he had ever made any encounter with. He was one of the most kind-hearted, loving, and most comforting man I had ever met. Rest in the sweetest peace Reid, I love & miss you always. 

I have known Ried for many years, thru 20 STEELER BARS.  SUNDAYS WILL NEVER BE THE SAME.  I COULD ALWAYS COUNT ON HIM, TO BRING MY SPIRITS UP AFTER A LOSS.

Every time I saw Reid he had a big hug and a “love ya brother” His courage and compassion will be greatly missed by many.


Reid was like my big brother. We met in 1976 and have been friends since. Reid and Florence in fact are god parents to my two oldest daughters.  One year we were on the road together and got to Nashville with about four days off. We rented a car and came home to Cape Coral for like a day and a half. I’m guessing this was Novemberish because that next July 13th my daughter Stephanie was born and his daughter adriene was born I believe on July 16th. Thank you for being my friend for over 45 years. I love you and I’ll miss you much. You’re not a phone call away anymore. I’m writing this through tears at 63 years old. You left on my birthday, I’ll now think of you then also. RIP big brother, and I’ll see you on the other side!!

Came home from work and both Reid's were there, as well as Janine. I'm like well we're is your dad. She then said oh he had to take a walk. I'm like okay. So I started walking towards him and are okay? Don't recall what happened that he had to walk it off, but it had something to do with Janine and I said you should just smack that ass of hers. Then his come back was, I spanked 1 of my kids butt 1 time and 1 time only and it was Janine's. He then said that so much hurt him then her then said I promised myself to never spank his ever again. As many kids in his he was hella father as is his wife. Cuddos on how everyone of his kids has manors and respect you don't ever see that anymore. You will be missed very much.
