Odette “Mimi” Jotterand, 91 died peacefully on Monday, August 23rd, 2021, in hospice care where Mimi received unparalleled care with much compassion for her and her family.
Born and raised on Long Island, New York, Mimi found and married her true love, Roland. Their loving romance lasted 68 years. It would be fair to say that Roland landed on his feet when she became his wife. Mimi and Roland opened up a new chapter in life when they moved to Sarasota, Florida in 1958, in order to be close to her parents.
Mimi loved to travel the world with her husband, children, and grandchildren and enjoyed visiting her homes in Switzerland and Canada during the summers.
Mimi was extremely generous in heart and gifts to family, friends, and The Humane Society, Saint Martha, and Saint Michael Catholic Church where she attended mass for 63 years.
She leaves behind her spouse, Roland Jotterand; daughter, Lynn Hawkins and husband, Fergus McGrath; daughter, Michelle Lee and husband, Henry E. Lee; grandchildren, Joe Alisa, Kaitlyn, Ryan, Miles, and Olivia; and her great-grandchildren, Jack and Blair.
Known for her witty sense of humor, her absence will be sadly felt by many.
Due to Covid, a celebration of Life will be held by her family members only. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to Saint Jude or The Humane Society. May she rest in peace in God’s eternal light.
