Norman Dwight Routson, 99, of Sarasota passed away peacefully Thursday, January 7, 2016. He was born on May 30, 1916 and grew up in the Kalamazoo, Michigan. Norman was drafted by the Army in 1941 in Massachusetts, serving in North Africa and Sicily, France. He worked for Simplex Time Recorder for 25 years. Norman moved from Ohio to Sarasota in 1981. He was a member of Kiwanis and of First Congregational United church of Christ. Survivors include his daughter, Nancy Wilcox; step-sons, Dick Gish and David Gish, 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
