Nathaniel Ehare Oratokhai passed away peacefully September 22, 2024, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s and cancer. He was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
Nathaniel was born in Sabongidda-Ora, Owan West LGA, Edo State, Nigeria on June 15, 1948. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy at Howard University in Washington D.C. Nathaniel practiced as a registered pharmacist in various community settings over his 35-year career. He treated each of his customers like family and with respect. Nathaniel was a loving husband and father whose main purpose in life was to provide for his family. He loved spending time at home working in his garden, enjoying time with his grandchildren, listening to music and dancing. Friends and family will remember Nathaniel for his kindness and his willingness to always help others in need.
He was preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Comfort Oratokhai. Nathaniel is survived by his wife of 45 years Mrs. Lynthia Oratokhai, his children Ms. Natalye Oratokhai and Mr. Michael Oratokhai, grandchildren Isaiah, Olivia and Yazmin Oratokhai, siblings Mrs. Betty Kunlipe, Mrs. Aina Oratokhai Izirein, Mr. Festus Atane Oratokhai, Mrs. Odafen Izobo - Agbebaku, and Mr. Sunnie Oratokhai. Survived by numerous beloved relatives and friends.
Family and friends will always cherish Nathaniel’s legacy of kindness, leadership, and service.
The Celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM Sunday, October 6th at Robert Toale & Sons Funeral Home At Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, Florida 34232.
The Mass will be held at 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM Monday, October 7th at Saint Martha Catholic Church, 200 N Orange Ave., Sarasota, Florida 34236
In Lieu of flowers make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society and/or the Alzheimer’s Association.
