Marilyn, “Pudd” to all those who knew and loved her, passed away on June 20, 2011 at her home in Sarasota, Florida.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Incarnation Catholic Church.
Pudd was born May 24, 1929 in Covington, Kentucky where she was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy in Park Hills, Kentucky.
After 18 dedicated years as an Executive Assistant for Hudepohl Brewing Company in Cincinnati, and having served on the Board of Directors of St. Henry Catholic School in Kentucky, Pudd moved to Sarasota in 1975, where she and her husband, Neil Dwyer, started J. Neil Dwyer & Associates, a sponsorship of Dale Carnegie. Pudd and Neil owned and operated their business until retiring in 1996. Pudd devoted countless hours to teaching Sunday School, teaching Catechism, volunteering for Catholic Charities and migrant workers.
Pudd was a devoted member of Church of the Incarnation and is survived by her husband of 39 years, J. Neil Dwyer, as well as her children: Lynn Schneider (Ken) of Cincinnati, OH; J. Neil Dwyer, Jr. (Sandy) of Erlanger, Kentucky; Richard “Jeff” Siemer (Alice) of Bradenton; Mark Siemer (Stephanie), of Parrish; and Greg Dwyer (Kim) of Springboro, OH. Pudd was also the loving grandmother to 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased in death by her parents, Leo and Alma Glindmeyer, her late husband, Richard Siemer, as well as her siblings, Bud, Grace and Betty.
Pudd was loved by all who were blessed to know her. She was a kind and gentle spirit who was clearly put on earth as an angel in disguise. Her acts of kindness were bountiful and her selflessness was unending. Pudd was devoted to her faith and her family and welcomed anyone in need with open and loving arms. She passed away, just as she would have wanted to, quietly, peacefully and without fanfare. Her love will remain in our hearts forever.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Catholic Charities.
