Margaret Elaine Anderson

Margaret E. Anderson, (Margie), passed away on June 10th, 2023 in Sarasota, Florida. She was 101 years old. Her family and many cherished friends are deeply saddened by her death. Margie was born on January 29, 1922 in Des Moines, Iowa. She grew up in Louisville, Ky. She Moved to Sarasota in 1972.

Margie retired after 27 years of Government service. The last 13 years of which were at the Social Security Office in Sarasota.

Margie was an exceptional person who cared deeply for the people around her. She was kind, generous and had a zest for life. Her enthusiasm, positive attitude, and love for family and friends was an inspiration to us all. She was a fun spirited soul who took on many passions. She enjoyed Caribbean Cruises and trips to the North Carolina mountains with her Husband (Bill). She belonged to various Bridge Clubs, was an accomplished golfer and was involved with her church.

Margie is survived by her son Phillip, her daughter in law Almu, and her 20 year old cat Misty.

Margie was predeceased by her husband William Anderson (2002).

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 17th at 1pm in the chapel at Church of the Palms 3224 Bee Ridge Rd, Sarasota Fl 34239. Service will be officiated by Dr Hmingi Browne.

Margie will be forever missed. She is in Heaven and in our hearts.
