Kris Alan Atha

November 29,1961 – April 9,2016

Kris Atha, 54 went to be with our Lord after a courageous battle with cancer, He was born in Millersburg, Ohio and moved to Sarasota as a child.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his brother Craig.

He was married to his surviving wife, Loretta Tucker. They had one daughter, Lindsey. Both reside in Sarasota. Also surviving are his parents Donald and Bonnie (Chanay) of Sarasota, brothers Douglas (Barbara) of Sarasota, Neil of Northport, Joel (Pam) of Sarasota, Corey (Eleanor) of Clearwater, and eight nieces and nephews.

Kris was always joking and laughing with his many friends. He enjoyed playing and watching all sports. While attending Sarasota High School he played baseball and was an active member of The Siesta Key Optimist Club, where he served as Lieutenant Governor. After graduation in 1980 he worked his way up in the business community. He was a successful business owner and operator of A to Z Fabricators. He was a kind and gentle man that spoke to all he came in contact with.

Graveside services at 3:00 on Thursday, April 14 at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home and Memorial Park 170 Honore Avenue Sarasota, FL 34232. They are also in charge of receiving arrangements and condolences.

A Celebration of Life service will be Saturday April 16 at Covenant Life Church 8490 McIntosh Rd, Sarasota, FL 34238 at 2:30 with a gathering of family and friends following.
