Kevin Francis Duffy

Kevin was born October 16, 1939 in New York, NY, to Francis Duffy & Gertrude (Paine) Duffy. He attended Brooklyn Tech High School and served four years in the US Marines, from 1958 to 1962.

Kevin worked for the New York Telephone Company; was in the Local 3 Electrical Union - Telephone Division; started a telecommunications business partnership: ETCO Communications; and retired as Communications System Manager with Sarasota County.

Kevin loved the outdoors and bird watching, coaching his children's teams in Youth Soccer. He loved bowling, reading, roller skating, cruising, and most of all, spending time with his family. He loved working around the house - There wasn't a project he wouldn't tackle. And he was affectionately known as Wile E. Coyote, Super Genius.

Kevin is preceded in death by his parents, and sister Jane Dinoia-Levine. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Kathleen (Norris) Duffy; children Jacqueline (Keith) Izzo, Timothy (Julie) Duffy, Patricia (Clark) Dell, Brian Duffy, and Colleen (Andrew) Arnett; grandchildren Ryan (Margaux), William (Bella), Shannon, Sarah, Conor, Patrick, Breandan, Liam, Taryn, Finnegan, and Adeline; siblings Brian (Joan) Duffy, Dennis Duffy, and Robin Duffy; in-laws, Ruth & Dave Kraft; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Kevin will be held Sunday, December 1st, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Palms Memorial Park, 170 Honore Ave, Sarasota, FL 34232. Flowers may be sent to the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 930am on Monday, December 2nd, at Incarnation Catholic Church, 2901 Bee Ridge Rd, Sarasota, 34239. A military Service with Honors will take place at 1pm at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 SR 72, Sarasota, 34241.
