Kenneth R Propes

Kenneth R. Propes, age 80 of Sarasota, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017 in the loving arms of his family. Kenneth was born on June 3, 1937 in Hickory, NC to the late Hubert Glenn and Willie Mae (Beard) Propes. Kenneth was a member of the Mint Hill 742 Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Mason, Sahib Shrine Temple, 100 Club of Sarasota. He was devoted to practicing the Lutheran faith. Kenneth was a loving husband to his late wife, Jean, and cherish time spent with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Jean; and eldest brother, Norris Propes.

He is survived by his children, Ken (Lori) Propes, Donna (Tom) Murphy, Doug (Shari) Propes, and Christy (Nino) Simunovic; brother, Larry Propes; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and many close friends he considered family.

Family is receiving friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 12:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted in the Legacy Chapel at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home & Memorial Park, with Rev. Elizabeth Turk officiating, on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 1:00 pm, with entombment services immediately following.
