Katie Sarah Coblentz

Katie Coblentz, 76, Sarasota, passed away on May 31, 2016. She is survived by her five sons, 4 daughters-in-law, 12 grandchildren, two sisters, a brother, many nieces and nephews, and in-laws too numerous to list but not forgotten. Her sons are James - of Sarasota, Ron (wife Cheryl, children Hannah and Kyndal - Birmingham, AL), Lynn (wife Delores, children Andrea, Heather and Christie – Sarasota), Randy (wife Lea Ann, children Claire, Uriah, and Rachael - Williamsburg, VA), and Jay (wife Kim, children Charity, Nate, Emily and Luke - Sarasota). Katie grew up in Belleville, PA and leaves behind 2 sisters and a brother. Sadie Kennell living in Sarasota, Ann Yoder and Wilmer Zook both of Belleville, PA Katie was a wonderful mother and grandmother who showed us how to be humble, kind and to genuinely care for others. She was a great source of advice and always seemed to know what to say, and sometimes more importantly, when to say nothing. She loved being outdoors, spending time with her grandchildren and trips back to her childhood home in Pennsylvania. Katie had an unwavering faith in God and was member of Abundant Life Church. She is again united with the man she was married to for 49 years... the late Monroe D. Coblentz. Her family will miss her greatly and will think of her often. Visitation will be Saturday June 4th - 3:00-6:00 PM and Sunday June 5th from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Abundant Life Church. Service on Sunday June 5th 2:00 - 3:00 PM. at Abundant Life Church Private graveside services at Palms Memorial on Monday June 6th.
