Judith Lynn Ryan, 76, of Sarasota, died peacefully under hospice care at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center Sunday, February 2, 2014. She was born to the late June M. King of Sarasota, May 16, 1937, in Detroit, Mich., and she was the stepdaughter of the late Carl M. King of Sarasota. She graduated from Cooley High School in Detroit in 1955, and married the late Eugene Ryan in 1959. They lived in Sarasota and had four sons, Eric, Kevin, Jeffrey and Gregory.
Judy is survived by two sons, Kevin Patrick Ryan; Jeffrey Lawrence Ryan; Kevin’s sons, Sean Alexander Ryan, Mitchell Tyler Ryan and Nolan Parker Ryan; Jeffrey’s son, Michael James Ryan; sisters, Marilyn Reising of Charlevoix, Mich.; Donna Murphy of Herndon, VA; Jessica Leis of Sarasota; and brother- and sister-in-law, Donald and Mary (Ryan) Soucy, of Largo, FL.
Judy will be remembered for her kindness and sense of humor and for her artistic and loving approach to photography and poetry. Her ashes will be buried next to her husband, Eugene A. Ryan, and son, Gregory James Ryan, at Manasota Memorial Park in Bradenton.
