Joe was a fantastic guy and a great doctor.    Lost touch with him over the years but still remember having fun on boat trips and hanging out!!

Dr. Schiro operated on my husband Landy in 2000 and his innovative "off pump" surgery saved his life. We kept in contact for several years and then lost track. Yesterday another physician  told Landy about Dr. Schiro's passing. We are  shocked and saddened and send our love to Daniella and their daughters. Our sincere condolences... he was very special. We just heard the news from Gene next door and are deeply saddened.  Joe was such a wonderful man and he will be sorely missed. Our hearts and prayers go out to you and the girls.

This just breaks my heart; I love and respect this man so much.  He was caring, kind, talented; a fabulous father and husband.  Loved his dogs; he spoke of them as if they were his best friends.  When I was ill he took the time to call and check on me; even drove to Tampa with his lovely wife Daniela and took me to lunch.  I will hold his memory and all that he shared with those fortunate to have known him close to my heart.  I'm sorry Daniela for you and the girls.  He would get the sweetest little glimmer in his eyes when you spoke of his dear family.  He just loved and respected the gift of life. God bless you all.

A generous, loving hearted, and honorable man are the words that come to mind when we think of Joe.  Joe married one of my best friends and loved us through Daniela's eyes.  He really did not know us well but nevertheless, performed surgery on my father for free.  More than 14yrs later, my Dad is still alive.  We have God and Joe to thank for that.  We pray that God will pour his love over Daniela, Andrea, and Alena.  That his strength and the peace that surpasses all understanding dwell in their hearts. Daniela, I learned of Dr. Schiro's passing from a friend I had just referred to him. I am so sorry.

We are sorry to hear about the loss of Joe. He was a good friend and has been there for support throughout our friendship. We shared many patients and they all raved about Joe's kindness and skill. Whenever someone was around Joe and Daniela you could sense the love between them.
