Sadly, I was not personally acquainted with Joseph Bullock. Rather, I write to inform his family that there are those of us in this world, in this country, and in the state of Florida who revere the work that good man like Joseph Bullock do on our behalf every day.   If not for Joseph Bullock and the other policemen in our society, anarchy would rain down upon all the lambs of our society, of which I am but one. My gratitude for men like Joseph Bullock cannot be sufficiently expressed. God Bless Joseph. And God bless his family, especially his mother, that they can somehow bear this interminable suffering in a manner that would make Joseph proud. Thank you.

Joseph lived a few buildings away from me here in the Estates of Stuart and I would see him come and go regularly. I'd give him a thumbs up and he'd laugh at my German Shepherd, Blitz, as he would bark out his greeting too. I never got to meet him personally, as he came to and fro work,,, but my heart is aching none the less.  My condolences to his mom and dad and his sisters, friends , and his LEO family. I know their pain all too well. My heart aches at the senseless murder of this fine young man and for those that will forever miss him, I will be one of them. I still look for his cruiser, expecting to see him around our apt. complex coming or going and then reality kicks me in the gut, again. God bless Officer Joe Bullock, his family and all who loved him. RIP Officer Bullock, I will always remember you, the hero who was my neighbor. Martin County's HERO !

Joe! I will really miss you! You were my best friend.  I remember meeting you in the Air Force in Minot North Dakota.  We were friends from the beginning.  We spent hours together just you and I in the most desolate parts of the US. We deployed to Saudi Arabia  and Korea. We work every day together and spend every holiday together.  You were the best! I will miss our phone conversations through the 21 years since we have been out of the Air Force. I will never let you go from my Heart! You are a hero and I love you little brother! Until we me again! Please meet me at heavens  gate to show me around! Love you! 

My heart goes out to your family during this difficult time.. I did not know your son personally,  but,  I would pass him from time to time on the road..  The State Troopers in our area do an exceptional job daily,  just as your son was trying to do that day..  It's sad that he lost his life over something so insignificant...  I want to thank you for your son's service.  Please know that we,  the community of Port St Lucie, are grieving also... May God Bless You,  and your son, and may he find peace in his new journey.... His work here is done..

Bless you for sharing your kindness with the people of Florida. We were truly being protected by the epitome of honor and love while you graced our state as a law enforcement officer. I am so very sorry for your loss. I did not know Trooper Bullock, but am sure he was a very fine man.  I can truly say I know exactly what your family is experiencing, as I too, lost a family member in 1987, Trooper Jeffrey Dale Young.  It takes a special person to become a Trooper, and I know GOD in heaven is holding him in HIS arms.  May HIS love comfort you at this time.

Joe was our neighbor when he first moved to Port St Lucie. Among our group we all referred to him as “Neighbor Joe”. He was just that - the minute you met him you wanted him to be your friend and he made you just that much better of a person.
We shared some fun game nights at the apartment and nights out.  We may not have talked as often as one hoped but when we did it was as if no time had passed. We will miss your laugh, your smile/smirk but will carry on your kind heart to the best of our abilities. Love you - forever and always Neighbor Joe. 🥰

MUCH LOVE, PRAYERS AND HUGS SENT TO THE BULLOCK FAMILY. I WAS VERY BLESSED TO HAVE JOE AS A FRIEND AND FOOTBALL BUDDY. I did not know Joseph directly, but I went to high school with his father. We sang together in choir and in our school musical in 1971. I know how deeply he must be hurting, and just wanted him to know that I am praying for him and his family. I cannot imagine the depth of his grieving. God be with you my friend. 

Trooper Bullock was always a pleasure to work with, he had a great sense of humor and will continue to be missed in Traffic Court. Sending prayers to the family. 

My deepest sympathy to the family, friends and co-workers of Joe.. I had the privilege and honor serving with Joe at Minot AFB ND in the 1990s.  We were assigned to the same section and duty schedule.  Working in the prairies of the North Dakota Missile field were always enjoyable with Joe!  He always would discuss his dreams and visions of becoming a Florida Highway Patrolman once he got out of the Air Force and he has performed exemplary for the last 19 years while living his dream!  Know that you will not be forgotten as you have joined a special group among true hero's! RIP  Defender!

Mere words cannot express the sorrow the death of your son and brother brings to all FHP members past and present.  Joe’s death is especially painful to me as as I retired shortly after Joe began his career and also as an Air Force father.  I salute Joe for his service both as an airman and trooper. Mr.&Mrs. Bullock, Jessica and Katie my heartfelt condolences to you all. I have known Joe (I affectionately called him J. LO.) for all of his career, as I was his first/primary training officer. Joe was my little Brother&My Boy. Mr. &Mrs. Bullock you have raised an AMAZING SON, in all aspects of his life. I knew from day 1, that I was training an EXCEPTIONAL YOUNG MAN & THAT HE WOULD BE A 10-8 (SHARP) TROOPER. I know Joe thought I was too "MOTHERLY" when I was training him, but he never said a word (HE WAS THE STRONG & SILENT TYPE OF MAN), and RESPECTFUL ALWAYS. I knew on 1 of the first traffic stops with him while he was in the last part of his shadowingtraining phase, right before he was cut loose on his own (which HE NEVER WAS because after that I was his zone partner) that's where I'm in civilian attire and we are in his patrol vehicle. We had made a traffic stop on an elderly couple for speeding. Joe walked up to the passenger side of their vehicle (ALWAYS SAFETY CONCIOUS) and explained why they were stopped. Now keep in mind I'm supposed to let Joe handle everything and keep my mouth shut & Joe was handling the stop. Then I hear both of them yelling and screaming, at Joe. So of course "Mother Hubbard" here is not going to let that happen. I went up to the couple told them how dare they yell and scream at him for doing his job. Since I was in civilian attire the couple was looking at me like, who are you Lady.  We got  back in his patrol vehicle I asked if he was OK, and I knew at that time he wanted to say "Pammie, I'm an Air Force Veteran and served as the Military Police, I think I could have handled that", but he just looked over at me with that cute smirk and said YES MAM. Joe became my zone partner. I felt so BLESSED to have him in my life and as my Partner, knowing he ALWAYS had my back, and he knew I ALWAYS had his. So THANK YOU for raising such an AMAZING MAN.

I had the pleasure of meeting Joe in the United States Air Force in Minot, ND.  I too had the calling to protect society and became a Pennsylvania State Trooper the same time Joe became a Florida State Trooper.
Joe, was an outstanding person and was friends with everyone.  He had a great personality and loved joking around.

He will be extremely missed.

Joe and I start with the patrol about the same time. I dispatched him on the radio for years. Even did ride-a-longs with him. Joe  was ONE OF THE BEST TO DISPATCH, never question where or what you were sending him to. Just 10-4 and go. Can't say how many times we hashed things out on the phone. If Joe asked for something I would do all I could to provide. I always loved loved loved loved when Joe was in Martin county cause I knew things would be done right. He was such an amazing co-worker. I feel lost without him. I miss his posts on facebook, always so full of life and so much of himself in the post. Whenever he was near the Communications center he would stop in for a hug and that great smile. Joe your were a LEGEND and you were the real meaning of FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL TROOPER! 
Like the song goes, only the good die young!
I'll miss you, after 19 years together on a radio, you get really attached! You will NEVER EVER be forgotten. Love you Joseph Bullock!

My prayers are with you Jon, Val, Jessica, Katie.   I had the pleasure of reconnecting with Joe over the last few months and I'll never forget the funny and random conversations we had. This news makes my heart so sad! Joe had one of the kindest souls I've ever known. Never do I recall a time when he did not have a smile on his face. Although it's been many years since I've seen him I'm sure all those amazing qualities only flourished with age. I could write novels to include catch phrases like “This is what we’re doing?” And “You’re my boy, Blue.” Just forever with the laughs. Know in my heart that without a doubt I am with you and I know you are with me. You’ve left a mark on so many of us with your big freaking feet! 😂 I’m going to miss the hell out of you. I can’t even imagine life without hearing your deep voice. Saying BRAHHHH with moving your hands around and smiling. I love you Jose-ph, the one who walks on water, the Legend! 

I am so sorry to hear this. I know his Mom Val. she has been doing my hair for 7 years. Ever since we came down to Port Charlotte. We have moved here finally October 10, 2018. My heart is breaking for Val and her family. He was a great person.
