John was a retired Captain with Seaboard World Airlines and was a member and Past-President of SPAR (Seaboard Pilots Association-Retired). He was Editor of SPAR's newsletter.
He was an active member of the Early Birds exercise group in Sarasota.
John is survived by his sons, John G. Bilotta, Jr., of Concord, CA, Jeffrey S. Bilotta and wife Neah of Petaluma, CA, Timothy K. Bilotta and wife Gail of Jacksonville, FL; a daughter, Rebecca A. Bitter and husband Greg of Sacramento, CA; a sister, Julia Preslopsky; a brother, George P. Bilotti and wife Millie; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 11, 2013 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home, 170 Honore Avenue, Sarasota, FL 34232.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 11:00am at the funeral home with entombment following in Palms-Robarts Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Heart Association in John's memory.
