Joan Kurz

Joan was born on January 21, 1957 in Albany, New York to Floyd and Lilyan Pulikowski. She moved to Sarasota in 1968 and attended the Out of Door Academy and St. Stephen's Episcopal School before graduating from the Doane Stuart Academy in Albany.

Joan worked in retail management for twenty years before moving into business administration working most recently as Director at ComfortKeepers in Sarasota.

She is survived by her husband John, her daughter Christina Kurz of Columbia, SC, her mother Lilyan of Sarasota, her brother Jeffrey Pulikowski of Newport Beach, CA and nephews Keith and Kyle Pulikowski and niece Kelsey Pulikowski of Charlotte, NC.

Joan made many friends over the years and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Our family would like to thank our friends and the community for their support, particularly the dedicated medical professionals who cared for her, Tidewell Hospice and the owners and staff of ComfortKeepers.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, May 19th in the Chapel at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home at 170 Honore Avenue, Sarasota Florida. Interment will be at the Palms Cemetery followed by a reception in the Chapel.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Tidewell Hospice.
