Janis Johnson Scott passed away Friday, June 2, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Janis was born October 5, 1950 in Paterson, New Jersey to George and Helen Johnson. She lived in Bloomingdale, New Jersey, graduating from Butler High School, moving to New Hampshire where she met the love of her life. She and her husband finally settled in Florida in 1980, which most of her family followed eventually. Janis was an avid Tampa Bay Rays fan.
Janis is survived by her brother Dennis (Joyceann), sister Pamela (Robert), sister Kathy, nieces Alyssa (Joseph), Ashley (Brian), nephews Daniel (Stephanie), Jamie (Christina), and many great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband William, parents George and Helen, and sister Karen.
Janis loved her family above everything, except her dogs, but if you were lucky enough to call her a friend, you were also loved that much. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
